Discipleship development is a transformative process in which adults, teens and children are encouraged to grow in their relationship with and knowledge of Christ. Central’s discipleship development process is intentional, systematic and sustaining, fostering movement from world-centered existence to Christ-centered living. The DDM is comprised of three major divisions and it encompasses the primary teaching and learning ministries of the church; The Spiritual Growth and Development Division, the Assimilation and Retention Division, and the Leadership Training and Enrichment Division.
The Spiritual Growth and Development Division includes Hour of Power (Sunday School) and House of Prayer Experience (HOPE).
SUNDAY SCHOOL
(Hour of Power)
Every Sunday morning, 8:30-9:30 AM, various classes are offered for adults, youth, and children. All classes are designed to enhance spiritual growth and development. Children and youth are placed in age appropriate learning environments and are taught by loving and caring Christian educators. Adults have several choices, including traditional classes that follow the International Uniform Sunday School Lesson, Explore the Bible, which provides a general overview of each book of the Bible, the Breakfast Club, a class that provides a spiritual dimension to various contemporary issues, and MasterLife, a course for those who are extremely serious about their daily walk with Christ. Everyone is encouraged to participate in Hour of Power.
